Accurate Insurance Solutions, a division of Accurate Advisory Group, is an
independent agency that specializes in insurance and financial services.
Although we’re based in Tampa, we also have an office in Orlando and
independent agents located throughout Florida.
Our goal is to build strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional
customer service and recommendations that are objective and independent.
As an independent agency we are not aligned with one or two providers. We have preferred relationships with all of the industry's top rated providers, and serve as a conduit between our customers and those companies.
We are uniquely qualified to help our clients navigate the new regulatory environment created by the Affordable Care Act ("ACA"). Our clients have come to rely on our knowledge and experience with ACA, and our recommendations to avoid punitive penalties associated with the law.
Scott Holcomb, President

Born in Hollywood, FL, Scott graduated from the University of South Florida (USF) in 1997 with a degree in information systems management.
After working in the information technology industry after college, he followed in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps and entered the insurance business. He began his career working for United Healthcare, then worked his way up to Vice President of an employee benefits firm that had more than 350 employer clients.
While there, he effectively implemented new technologies and made significant advancements in operational and customer service protocols.
In 2009, he started his own firm, Accurate Insurance Solutions. One year later, he merged with his USF classmates at the Accurate Advisory Group, where he implemented some of the same technological advantages for its clientele. His overall objective for clients is to provide them with a level of service seldom seen in our fast-paced world.
When not working, Scott enjoys playing all kinds of sports and spending time with his two children.
Lauren Bingham, Executive Assistant
Born in Tampa, FL, Lauren moved with her family to Park City, Utah, where she attended grade school, learned how to ski at Deer Valley and became a double black diamond skier by the age of 7.
After her family returned to Tampa, she attended parochial schools and graduated from Tampa Catholic High School. She attended Hillsborough Community College while learning and honing her administrative skills working for a large, high-volume, land development company in the Tampa Bay area.
After spending one and a half years in the retail business, she returned to administration and joined Accurate Insurance Solutions in 2012 as a receptionist. She quickly advanced to become an executive assistant.
Lauren’s duties include processing all new business for life insurance and annuities, interacting with clients to answer questions and facilitate their individual requests, and working with the company’s agents and advisors to address client needs.
Duane Mercer, Chief Finance and Information Offier
Duane got his start in the insurance and financial services industry in 2005 as a Life & Health insurance agent. He worked with individuals and small business owners to meet their insurance needs and gained an understanding of the business from the ground-up.
In 2007, he left Accurate to pursue a technology consulting opportunity with PricewaterhouseCoopers, assisting with the support and maintenance of their enterprise-level financial systems and learning the intricacies of their AP/AR processes. Later, he would take that knowledge to Raymond James Financial where he interacted with brokers across the country assisting them with newly implemented CRM systems and their proprietary advisor reporting console.
In 2012, Duane joined Accurate Insurance Solutions. Currently, he oversees all internal financial functions including: accounting, budget, credit, insurance, commissions, contracting, tax, and treasury as the CFO.
Additionally, as the CIO, Duane is able to direct the strategic long-term technology goals, policies and procedures for the firm with the experiences he gained in the technology side of the industry. His contributions have brought Accurate Insurance Solutions into a new era of technology driven task management that allows their agents and advisors to better focus on providing excellent, unrivaled service to every client that walks through the door.
Born in Bartow, Florida, Duane graduated from the University of South Florida in 2005 with degrees in Finance and Information Systems Management. In his time off from work he enjoys the nearby beaches, skiing in the mountains of North Carolina and Colorado, and spending time with his nieces and nephews
Chris Julian, Manager - Customer Relations
Chris Julian was born in New York and moved to Florida in 1987. Chris attended the University of South Florida and obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in 1997. Chris has worked in the insurance and financial industry since 1998. He started out in insurance sales and eventually moved to South Florida to assist in the management of a Hedge Fund.
In addition to his financial endeavors, Chris always had a passion for helping others and made a decision that he would pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a career firefighter.
Now, Chris says he has the best of both worlds; he is able to fulfill a dream of being a fireman and also work in the financial field which he also loves.
You will find Chris on his off days spending time with his family; wife Priscilla, daughter Ella and his son Justin. Chris also loves being outdoors and playing sports.

Robert Leone, Vice President Financial Services
Robert began his career in the insurance and financial services industry in 1995 after graduating from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
As VP of Accurate Insurance Solutions, Robert's responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including marketing, compliance, sales and research; but his true passion is customer relations. Robert speaks with clients on a daily basis and is always striving to help educate and empower them so they can enjoy retirement free from concerns.
Robert is also active in the local community, volunteering his time to his children’s soccer leagues, the Fire Fighters of Pasco County and the Hillsborough County Fraternal Order of Police. He also supports the University of South Florida youth sports programs.
Married and a father of three, Robert enjoys playing soccer and other sports with his family, traveling, spending time outdoors and taking the kids to see their favorite sports team, the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Diane Burns, Client Services Manager
Diane began her career in employee benefits and consulting after 15 years in human resource management. That experience has allowed Diane to become a tremendous resource for HR professionals and office administrators, by understanding the challenges they confront every day.
From initial marketing strategies and presentations to plan implementation and renewals, Diane assists employers in providing comprehensive benefits to their employees.
By collaborating with her clients, Diane becomes a liaison between the client and insurance companies, helping to provide guidance and assistance in all areas of benefits administration. This helps her clients to focus energy on meeting their primary business goals.
Diane is licensed in life, health, and variable annuities, as well as certified human resource management by the University of South Florida.
Away from work , Diane enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
